KUALA LUMPUR: Rosmah, 70, was accused of bribing Saidi Abang Samsudin, the former managing director of Jepak Holdings Sdn Bhd, with RM187.5 million through her former assistant Rizal Mansor in exchange for her help in securing the solar project.

Trial judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan ruled that the defendant had failed to refute the prosecution’s claims with reasonable doubt and that her defence consisted of of a denial without supporting evidence.

  • In relation to the RM1.25 billion solar energy project for rural schools in Sarawak, Rosmah Mansor has been found guilty on all three counts of corruption.
  • She was also accused of accepting bribes of RM 5 million from Saidi, via Rizal, on December 20, 2016, at Seri Perdana in Putrajaya.
  • She was also accused of accepting an extra RM1.5 million from Saidi in Jalan Langgak Duta on Sept 7, 2017.
